Do You Have Summertime Stories?

June 22, 2012 By Kimberly A. Cook 3 Comments

Summer is officially here and the possibilities are endless. This time of year leads to thoughts of lazing in my lawn swing or smelling the warm scents of summer. It reminds me of playing make-believe games with my Match Box yellow convertible car and travel trailer in the neighbor’s backyard.

Crawling around in the dirt was a rite of passage for us suburban kids back in the day. There were also big fields with holes we dug which became forts of legend. Then always the popular flashlight monster game played at dusk. Sweet memories. Do you have dirt stories from your childhood?

Remember to play! Happy Quirky Friday!

Ever Had A Sibling Fight You For Food?

It never fails. You’re watching your favorite tv show, enjoying a good snack, and a brother or sister wants to take your goodies. This puppy and parrot pair are obsessed with this brand of yogurt. The facial expressions alone are worth watching. So the next time you cuddle up in front of the tv with your fav treat, remember; beware of the parrot!

Happy Quirky Friday!

With all the craziness in this world, it seems animals have more play skills than we do. We can learn a great lesson from Arthur the cat in this video. While he may be thinking he’s scored the best catch of all time, he really does play with the dolphins and want to be friends. Here’s to more play time for all of us! Happy Quirky Friday!

Ever have plans that just don’t seem to get off the ground? This kitten is having the same problem. When the target thinks it is in charge and pretty much ignores you, it takes the fun out of hide and seek. Have a safe Memorial Day weekend. Happy Quirky Friday!

Is This Your First Screen Test?

May 18, 2012 By Kimberly A. Cook Leave a Comment

It’s been a wacky week and month, so I thought this Friday we all needed to see how others struggle to get their careers off the ground. No matter what our vocation, we all have to try things and fail to get where we want to be. Check out how these actors missed out on a prime role, but went on to bigger and better parts. Happy Quirky Friday!
