Time to go back to the beach! Back to my July weekend photos that is. Given the high temperatures and smoke in the air you can chew, what better summer break than to revisit the cool, fresh breezes of sea air.
I always have fun taking pictures, but the beach is a wonderful place to grab sneaky pics of wildlife and people. So sit back and enjoy the gallery! Weather is going to change into the mid-70s by this weekend. I’m going to need my parka!

Busy week. With that in mind, I decided we all needed a sun and swim break. What better way to warm up in the winter than surfing in Hawaii. With a pig. Who has his own board and two GoPro cameras. Because why not?
If you need to schedule some playtime in your life, take pointers from Kama, the hanging ten porker. Hang loose.

Snow in the East, sun in the West for today only, it must be time for a swim! For the baby penguin chicks at the Oregon Zoo, not us for Pete’s sake!
Look at these pros jump in for their first swim in the big penguin pool. Such athletes. Cute, cuddly and dressed to the nines. Can summer be far behind?

The traffic on the way to the day job yesterday was light, the parking lot half full and the phones quiet; must be Spring Break! For those of us who don’t get Spring Break, it does bring back happy memories and carefree days of Beach Boys songs and the promise of “Fun, Fun, Fun.”
Had two teasing days of sun the end of last week, but sure as can be the rains are back for the school break vacation. So while it seems this gray cloudy weather will never leave us alone, I don’t want the record breaking temperatures of last summer either. Let’s go for a middle, normal type summer this year okay?
So with that in mind, I want to jog Mother Nature’s memory with reminders of what great summers look like. Here are a few pictures to give her some summer ideas.
